We look forward to having the opportunity to provide you and your child with a safe, comfortable, family-style environment where there is lots of time for exploring, playing, learning and growing together!

GOALS & PHILOSOPHY

 

At Aunty's House Family Daycare our goal is to provide: 

 

• a nurturing environment that offers opportunities to be creative (creative play, creative crafts, outdoor exploration),
• a portion of the day as structured time (for example, reading circle),
• opportunity for free play (access to indoor play room, trips to Prince Charles Park)
• field trips to keep children excited (to Pet Land, to Prince Charles Park, to the Wildlife Park, to the Library, to the swimming pool).
• daily nutritious meals and snacks planned in accordance to Canada's Food Guide
  
• a “home-away-from-home” space for your children where they receive individual attention

 

Aunty's House Family Daycare is a Registered, License-Not-Required, fully insured and inspected daycare.  We are a pet-friendly facility and believe that animals and children can share an important friendship and bond.  As such, we use the pets in our home as opportunities to learn about animals and animal care, including how to safely approach a dog, warning signs for “hands off” such as growling or hissing, appropriate petting/brushing, the importance of food and water, etc.  Our furry pets do shed, especially in the spring.  As such, if your child is allergic to pet dander, they should not attend Aunty’s House.

Your child will be considered a member of the family while participating in our program, and you can rest assured that they will be cared for, nurtured and respected. 

Full-time, part-time, and shift-work accommodating schedules are provided. We are located in the heart of Kamloops, about 200 metres from Royal Inland Hospital.
